Over the summer, we went through our sermon series, "The Kingdom Quest: The Parables of Jesus," exploring what it means to belong to the Kingdom of God. But being part of God's Kingdom is more than knowing what we believe. It means living out the values of our King.

And one of the clearest pictures of Kingdom living is found in James 1:27:

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

This is what the Kingdom of God looks like when it takes root in our lives. We care for the vulnerable. We seek justice and compassion. We step into places of brokenness and bring the love and hope of Jesus.

That's what Rescue Cambodia is about.

This coming weekend, September 12–13, 2026, join us for Westwood's Missions Weekend and discover how God is using Rescue Cambodia to care for vulnerable children and families in Cambodia. Come see what it looks like when the people of God live out the values of the Kingdom.

The Kingdom we've been learning about is a Kingdom we're called to live out.
